2 Months!

January 13, 2010: Makayla was 2 months old! It's so crazy how fast time goes by! Makayla has developed such a cute little personality, and I love it! Hopefully, her happy and content attitude will last, along with her no crying :) When she went in for her 2 month check up, she had a double ear ache. (and I only knew that she had ear aches when my mom made me take her in because she was stuffy and had a little cough! Other wise, she was showing no signs of having ear aches!) Having to watch my baby girl get her shots, was the saddest thing! But once she got her bottle she was fine and back to her happy self! Then Sunday the 24th, I took her to InstaCare, to have her face looked at. It looked like a rash was breaking out, and her left ear was bright red. Turns out that her face was just super dry, but her ear ache was back in the left ear, and this time it was really bad. She was prescribed Amoxicillin again, and ear drops for the pain. (Which I ended up not getting because A- Walmart was out, and B- She wasn't pulling at her ear, or acting like she was in pain) January 30th brought another trip to InstaCare. This time, she had broken out in welt like bumps all over her body! It was so sad! But the Dr said it was just from having Amoxicillin in her little body for about 3 weeks straight. So nothing to worry about! (except I still do! I worry all the time about everything! AH i just cant help it!) Makayla also weighs 14 lbs 8 oz...She's 11 weeks old..
Quote of the day: You gotta take the good with the bad, smile when your sad..Love what you got, and remember what you had..Always forgive but never forget..And live your life with no regrets!

7:49 pm

November 13, 2009: My life changed forever. At 7:49 pm, after being at the hospital for 9 hours, I finally gave birth to my beautiful daughter, Makayla Sophia. She weighed 7 lbs 12 oz, and was 20 inches long. She had a full head of black hair, that has since faded to a brown color. Alot has gone on in my life since she was born...I haven't had to deal with the long nights of trying to clam down a crying baby, my issues have had nothing to do with Makayla at all. She is such a miracle baby (as all babies are, but still...). Unless she is hungry, she does not cry. Period. The only time she has cried and not been hungry, was after she got her shots, and she randomly cried for like a half hour. No matter what is going on in my life, I can just hold her and pretend like nothing is wrong, and it really helps make things better. She is smiling all the time now, and making the cutest noises. When she wakes up in the morning, and is fussing, (because she likes her bottles right away...she is spoiled, and it's not my fault!) she will stop fussing when she sees me, and just give me the biggest smile. And that just makes everything worth it.

Quote for the day: Life is too short to wake up with regrets. Love the people who treat you right, forget the ones who don't. Believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
